DEATHS

Sarah Anne Davenport

Sarah Anne Barker Davenport, 51, of Bloomington, died Wednesday from
injuries suffered in an auto accident near Macon, Ga.  She was in the
South researching her family history.

Born Nov. 10, 1945, in Scranton, Pa., she was the daughter of Lowell H. and
Sarah (Ross) Barker.

She was a media specialist for the South Indiana Conference of the United
Methodist Church and was a member and librarian of St. Paul United Mediodist
Church.

She was educated at South Side High School in Fort Wayne, Mercer College in
Macon, and Purdue University, and recently received a master's degree from
Indiana University.

Survivors include her husband, John David Davenport; two sons, Jonathan
Gregory Davenport and Andrew Malcolm Davenport, both of Bloomington; her
mother, of Indianapolis; one brother, Lowell Barker Jr. of Spencer, three
sisters, Shirley Brunner of Mountain View, Calif., Barbara Jean Hill of
Beaver Dam, Wis., and Susan Venable of London, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Services will be I p.m. Monday at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the
Rev. Brian White officiating.  Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in
Bloomfield.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at Day Mortuary and a half hour prior to
services Monday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the South Indiana Conference of the
United Mediodist Church Outdoor Ministries Capital Fund or to Options for
Better Living for the care of the developmentally disabled.
